Oh'ye no Himemiko was a daughter of Naka no Oh'ye no Miko and Shikobuko no Iratsume whose father is Woshiumi no Miyakko Wotatsu. Her siblings are Kawashima no Miko and Idzumi no Himemiko.
She married Emperor Temmu and gave birth to two princes: Naga no Miko and Yuge no Miko. These princes were qualified to be the Emperor candidates after the Emperor's death, but none of them could be the next Emperor.
中大兄皇子と、忍海造小竜の娘・色夫古娘との間の娘。同母きょうだいに川島皇子と泉皇女。
天武天皇と結婚し長皇子、弓削皇子の2人の皇子をもうけたが、どちらも皇位争いに勝つことはできなかった。
